Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

New CEO, not good for remote workers

I hate to break the news to you all but this new CEO is not favorable towards remote employees. He has not hidden the fact of pushing everyone into an office, and it makes perfect sense for two main reasons.

  1. Frankenstein did pick him, so you know how obsessed he is with this industrial age mentality
  2. He's traditional banking guy, not a forward-thinking tech evangelist. You can probably find resources where he comments on the topic.

This is my first and final post, but I wanted to warn my orange bro/sis colleagues. I am on my way out, I was one of the 2% remote in my group, there are very few of us left.

[FWIW - I do know someone personal that is ex-PNC executive, and they confirmed new guy is on board with the asinine no-remote policy. But think about it, there's 99 other reasons to leave FISV, it's been gutted and destroyed from it's former self. F and his spying illegal cronies did us in good. ]

F - "Hey board, I have a great idea, let's close the office where OpenSolutions was headquartered, then fire all those nagging DNA SMEs , b/c you know, that's are only product that makes money; we'll just hire college grads and people offshore to fill the gap, what could go wrong ? p.s. and we'll tell everyone we did it for the clients (LOL)"

Is the PNC guy really taking over? Frank is not taking the SSA Nomination. Will Frank come back and give the PNC dude the Boot?

boomer knows he’s the most hated ceo
boomer finds gen-x with mentality boomer
boomer tells wanna-be boomer that their books are heavily manipulated with commercial real-estate
boomer further explains that having real-estate and energy portfolios is key to super riches along with manipulating investors with big words and selling unfinished products
d-mb new ceo sees that manipulating thousands is easy while making millions
RTO for everyone
new gen-x boomer is now the most hated ceo with the lowest rating
franko is no longer the worst ceo known to man

This was and is pretty predictable. Ever since JP/Chase CEO did an RTO which is the most notorious for manipulating markets it was only about time he convinced big Franko the same.

Cudo's to Mr.PumpinDinker I was one of the DNA DNA SMEs (before 2001). While the poster is incorrect a about the direct revenue the indirect revenue was crazy.

Good luck with what you have left new CEO, too far gone to fix it. Still waiting for the fire sale, thanks KKR its how we got together with Fiserv in the first place.

No offense to 100% remote workers, but those of us that are 5 days a week are just looking for some flexibility. If the new guy is just a little more receptive to WFH and not laser focused on badge swipes and sapience BS, it would feel like a huge improvement for many.

At PNC, the CEO wanted to mandate greater RTO but left it to his leaders to decide the policy. The CTO did not go along with any mandates because she said she did not want to put that on the engineers. No mandatory RTO in PNC technology fwiw.

In a few days would be my one year anniversary since I’ve been with Fiserv and man….i love this company. I have been remote this whole time. I hope he doesn’t cut remote workers. I hope this is just a rumor. I have noticed my department has us working OT/ET so something up too must be going on

I'm not the original poster. I've heard rumors that remote work is over after Q2 2025, and remote workers are expected to be in office by then. Typical Fiserv though, the messaging is mixed depending on who you talk to.

I will tell you that the announcement 15 months ago was handled poorly. I was on the list and other than the initial meeting, no one from HR reached out. I had zero information for almost two months. I had to jump through hoops to get a meeting with HR just for details.

I wonder what happens if you just don't show up. Fiserv is so poorly run that I feel like it would be months before HR even noticed that you were still remote.

I do not nor did i ever think Franks replacement would be much of an improvement. If he’s a little more personable and well spoken that alone would be a huge upgrade.
