Total number is not out yet. People who have been here for more than 15 years were also part of this.

117 IT employees laid off today, 4/11/25.
I was replaced by people who have no clue and now my family is it dire straits financially
Wonder if there will be across the board layoffs. With increased prices on the rise due to Trump’s tariff plan, whose god extra income for insurance?
Yes. Keeping their the favorites and destroying families
When will bonuses be paid
No, people are just panic speculating.
Did the in-office requirement change as well? Heard a rumor they are going 5 days.
Any truth to bonus payments being delayed, a return to office for four days and free food going away?
anyone know how many underwriters or if there will be more?
The job market is bad for tech. They won't have people leave. People let go a year ago still haven't found jobs.
90% offshore won’t happen. Attrition is increasing and will soon go through the roof. Watch.
The AHM will be bad news. They’ve NEVER done a Friday meeting. They don’t want a human audience asking questions. Good Luck.
I heard 90% was for ETX and other areas like Ops it was 70-80% offshore.
90% offshore? Is this just IT or across the country? Also, what’s up with an all ee meeting on a remote day before a long weekend???
Heard that they want 90% offshore. That leaves SLT and some of their directs in the US. Front line managers and ICs will all be offshore.
Layoffs included some H1B team members that they recently hired. 60 days to get a new job or they have to leave the country. That is cold stuff.
Reductions every 6-8 months. The future of ETX is offshore.
God bless everyone who is impacted. I hope you all get better jobs and get back on your feet. God is watching, just be patient
Tech layoffs are every 6 months. But where else can they even cut people???
Their IT has been fat since selling off RS. They won't do one big layoff anymore due to commitments with the state and negative press. Plan on another wave next year after they backfill with cheap out of the country FTEs.
Indians are getting paid very less and not great hikes
Hearing more than a dozen underwriters as well.
I’m one of the laid off wfh developers. My last date is one month shy of my fully vested period for 401k and pension, nice…
All Home Office IT first point of contact staff laid off and replaced by India. No Field Support affected.
They're hiring less in Romania these days because those costs are closer to US rates. It's mostly India. 1 US senior employee = 2-3 Romania employees or 6-8 India employees. They go for India at those rates
Not just India teams but also Romania teams too, right?
Wish we could call them out on hurting US jobs and employees to send everything offshore. They want all India teams because it's cheap

What teams were impacted?
I was one of the employees laid off yesterday. I've been at MM over 30 years. There were 93 employees, of all ages, laid off.
Moving the jobs to India. Not technically outsourcing since it’s a “MassMutual office”.
Every previous layoffs has had people here for more than one or two decades. They need to mix up length of employment to avoid lawsuits apparently.
Anything outside of IT?
