With HP laying off and eliminating managers, directors and senior directors positions, what opportunity is there for growth? Only way to get promoted is if someone leaves. Not much of an incentive to stick around.

small armies of mid to senior level managers are being laid off right now. They will NOT be replaced. So the post is correct, there is very little room to grow
Damn, the mods here deleted the post about how racist Ernest is and how he only hires black people.
Simple really. They hold leadership positions. You do not. I understand 100%. You clearly don't.
Apparently how? Do you even understand what you are saying?
Apparantley they lead more than you do and you ever will...
And you are still missing the point if you think HP leads at anything.
You are just recycling the same comment I just used on you because you can’t come up with anything original.
Apparently my comment went over your head. Maybe one day you will understand.
Yes leaders aka the employees that get paid way more than you for doing a lot less which result in resentful employees like yourself. Every company has them. You’ll understand when you get there eventually. Hopefully.
Leaders at HP?
Nobody wants leadership roles nowadays anyways. Too much responsibility. At least there’s still more opportunity for manager roles.
They are not replacing the leadership roles they are eliminating. So no moving forward.
“This post makes no sense. If someone is laid off technically they are leaving the company so if the only way to get promoted is if someone leaves then there is bound to be more opportunities for growth whenever a senior position is eliminated and subsequently replaced by someone who works directly under that position and still works within the company”
All the more incentive to stick around if you ask me.

There was always a technical career path at HP. Unless you are as d-mb as a rock.
