WFH Returning with New CEO

With the announcement of Fiserv’s new CEO, there’s a strong possibility that work from home will become a permanent option. The new CEO has received great approval ratings on Glassdoor and is known for rejecting micromanagement. A source close to the board has mentioned that bonuses are set to return in 2026, and starting soon, there will be no more badge swipes required. Looks like Fiserv is returning to its roots – and many are relieved!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but he wasn't the CEO at PNC. Lyons won't have any sort of rating system anywhere I don't think. But general sentiment is leaning towards him being a decent human being. So fingers crossed!

Being an original fiserv employee if we were to return to the old fiserv I welcome that so very much. Plenty of locations closed whiched forced us WFH long before covid. I am still Remote. I am near an office they are deciding a return for me or not. I am over nights and will be the only one in the building. However the current doesn't care about that even if I don't have big strong muscles. If the new CEO is not hard on about the return it will be nice to stay remote. The crazy part I work longer hours remote I give more Being remote. Having sapience running and weekly check from my manager my hours are well over. Plus clarity both identical. I won't hold my breath but it be nice. We lost so many great people because they were forced to relocate or be let go. So many took the packages. We will see I miss original fiserv I am one of them.

I've been WFH since 2014. There used to be an office near me, but they closed it (at pushed everyone who was still in-office to go remote. We've lost so many good people because of the RTO mandates because no one worth their salt is going to relocate for Fiserv.

I'm still WFH, but the clock is ticking (I have a deadline to be in-office). I love my team, and I'd love to return to Fiserv like it was before First Data, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm crossing my fingers that the new CEO wants to clean house and backtracks some of the hard-line policies.

I think it's fine to have a RTO policy if you live within 60 minutes of a "center of excellence", but when you live 7 hours from one...

They have invested in the badging and sapience, and it won’t go anywhere. It’s available, and management might as well use the data.

@a7+1jjcnyg3q: At least some of us. I was full time WFH from 2016 to 2022.

If your desk at home is bigger than your desk at the Fiserv office there's a problem.

I'll believe it when I see it. So I won't hold my breath that any of these assinine micromanaging bs will cease anytime soon.

@a7, you are wrong. Original Fiserv was predominantly WFH. First Data f'd that up

Badge swipes won’t be leaving anytime soon. As far as WFH, this will be examined thoroughly to accommodate those who have a serious reason and need to work from home. To add,I hope you aren’t implying that working from home is a way to “return back to its roots” as prior to COVID, we worked in office.
