When health starts to go downhill, it’s already too late. I should’ve started looking for something else long before stress took its toll on me. This place always wants more, pushing everyone to the limit. It’d be eye-opening to see how many have ended up sick because of the pressure here.

@td+1jjbxndwy, You are Hilarious! You got some glaze on your chin, need a tissue?
@t1+1jjbxndwy - Newsflash. It’s called capitalism. Truist is easy street compared to a BoA, Wells or Chase. Toughen up or gtfo
@sy+1jjbxndwy, I'm sure the Lifeforce nurse conveyed that. Your view of corporate America is myopic and that fact you mention nothing about the abusive culture that isn't really producing results is telling.
@s7+1jjbxndwy - Life and corporate america can be stressful. Get on BP meds if needed. Cardiovascular disease no 1 cause of death in USA. Get enough sleep, exercise (even walking) and limit/eliminate alcohol use
@sj+1jjbxndwy, I know someone they are still trying to do that to. He was an awesome teammate too!
I believe that the company takes insurance policies out on employees then ki-ls them using non physical means. The people that assist get a cut and/or a bounty.
You know it’s sad when the Lifeforce nurse asks why your blood pressure has become higher than it normally was for the last 20+ years…this merger!
If you don’t stay you have virtually no chance of making AVP!!
@b2+1jjbxndwy, So your at the gaslight stage of the process? Since the whole mental health trope is part of that, why don't you elaborate on how pharmaceuticals for someone else is going to alter your minion-type behavior? I wont hold my breath waiting for substance from a NPC, if it is isn't in your script, you just freeze up or repeat the same tropes.
Get a doctor to prescribe you some good pills to “take the edge off”
Make no mistake, it isn't "pressure" in the normal sense like a high functioning, competitive environment would be. It is deliberate corrosion under the guise of "performance". Then the gaslighting starts, again deliberately, using the same keywords and catch phrases. Those that do this to the teammates, know full well what they are doing.
You people are pathetic!
Hang in there and try to make it. I left in Q3 2024 and it was an instant weight off of my shoulders when I finally got out. The expectations, pressure and insane steps needed to get anything done were overbearing and if absolutely impacted me. Start your search, find something and rid yourself of that awful place.
I am sorry you are suffering. Sending healing thoughts. Do not blame yourself. It is not as easy to leave as people make it sound. I wish you the best finding another job. I hope you have contacts that left and can help you.
Reminds me of a time after wells bought Wachovia. A friend of mine is a physician and he asked me one night “what’s with all the heart and tension and anxiety issues lately?” I asked what he meant and he said “they’re all Wachovia people”.
No money, title (even AVP!), promise, potential, or hope is worth your health.
I have heard of and seen teammates who couldn’t make it to the restroom for years due to only having one teammate and a manager working in a retail location for days and months. No lunch breaks and no potty breaks. One of them developed issues from holding it in. I have seen over the years, three people go in their pants for this very issue and not being able to make it. An auditor to make it feel better, told us that it happened at another location they were at too. Welcome to Suntruist, you survived the apocalypse with stellar performance and diabolical conditions and that qualifies you for 1% on your annual raise. Unfortunate truth, there’s also plenty of people who resorted to substance abuse like alcoholism because of the conditions at the firm, I know all too many who have become alcoholics. I personally went down the road after a colleague heard my frustrations with the firm and gifted me some bottles to help. I got hooked for a few years. Company culture has become one in which people exchange bottles of alcohol regularly as gifts and it’s a gesture to help people cope with their time here. Sounds like a nightmare but nothing can scare us not even a nightmare because we work for Suntruist.
