Thread regarding Comcast layoffs

offshore and h1b drastic over hiring

It looks like the layoffs are going to accelerate. There is much more cost to 10s of thousands of offshore and 100s of thousands of H1B compared to hiring 1000 US workers. We we multi the extra cost, it is extremely high for non-us workers. The customer base won't grow hardly no matter what. This means xfinity has to increase prices on the customers to keep us with cost. The end result is customers move their internet to att and cox. Then that will lead to increasing layoffs for us workers and offshore and h1b. no way to stop this acceleration.

H1Bs are capped, right? However, Comcast has its CIEC in India and other operations in Manila. The Comcast CIEC in India will be taking on more US work as Comcast sees fit, plus pulling mightily on areas like Engineering, IT, and Cybersecurity from NBCUniversal's Operations & Technology. But I agree with you, your Xfinity bill will continue to rise.
