How can anybody be remotely productive knowing their last day at the company is already determined?

Some states/countries have laws that require people to receive a longer notice. These timelines have nothing to do with performance.
Three people let go on my team were the HARDEST damn workers and with the company for YEARS, which shows being a loyal, great employee doesn’t matter PERIOD! My heart goes out to all that were affected today. Nothing but BS then end of day email of Witty announcing the new CEO talk about being tone deaf and not reading the room correctly. Sir Witty- we don’t care we have a new millionaire when others lost their jobs today. That was poor taste and tacky!
I was giving 1 hour and 30 mins before my last punch out.
Yes, i was waiting for today call for last 3 months!!! yes lost client on sept , and all worked moved to other people, so imagine 3 months on a stress mode, no vac, no holidays, because i know this day is coming, and it did , after 14 years work optum/ CHC. i’m from TES depart :billing, coding, claims, credentialing, AR , managers
To the person that posted I get to stay until 3/31 because my region was productive you are 100% incorrect. Great, productive workers were let go today so please do not insinuate workers were laid off due to poor performance.
Last day for some is 3/31.
Are there more layoffs coming in 2 months? I certainly don’t expect to be here all of 2025, but is two months going to be then next round of the layoffs?
I am sorry to the ones being let go on 2/6. I get to stay until 3/31 because my region was most productive
I agree. it is going to be hard to be productive at all.
2/6 last day for most
You're lucky. I was given 2 weeks or so
What area are you in and why 2 months? Are you expected to train offshore employees or is your program closing?
