Not the entire Navi. Preservice, SICC, Appeals and Denials still exist. But a massive layoff for preservice and SICC - SCMs, CTMs, preservice director and > 5 PSCs. Entire home health dept dismantled effective 4/1/25.
Just HH for now. Everything else is getting whittled away steadily.
Did UHC completely dismantle everything formerly known as Navi? Nurses in hospitals supporting discharge planning, UM initial review for SNFs, provider relations advocates for acute and SNFs?
I'm also in nj, I still have my job but I feel like a sitting duck. Had a meeting Friday for my position, mics off comments off felt like they were reading from a script. No info at all just if your in this meeting you still have a job! Thanks.. my manager is gone no info at all. Doing everything to get out asap! I can't afford to wait to get fired. I'm a single mom. Greed all greed!!
I don’t think they will totally get rid of preservice. They are so greedy that they will NOT automatically allow SNF admission and chance lengthy SNF stay. It’s how they lose money fast. Members and family appeal SNF denial and get overturned most of the time. Most appeal and appeal until the cows come home.
I worked for the company for 5 years and quit last summer to return to clinical practice….i think that UHC will get rid of all of preservice. They don’t have to require prior auths they do so bc it has saved them money….well government is cracking down so time for UHC to find another avenue to exploit…..what they may do is cut all of preservice and allow everyone to go to SNF without auth initially then continue to use sicc to review for continued stay
Some states have different laws. There’s laws in some states where you must give 90 days notice to workers you’re laying off hence some people getting 90 days while others aren’t.
I'm curious- I saw that some people have said their last day is 3/31. I was RIF'd yesterday and was told my last day is 2 weeks (from yesterday) so 2/6.
Curious - what was the severance with today’s RIF? 1 or 2 weeks for every 2 years with the company?
Will there be any more lay-offs? Particularly for Pre-service (PSC) division of Home & Community (formerly Navihealth)?
Now that the new administration fully supports offshoring jobs for the elites, they claimed they had to stay competitive especially with AI. Ridiculous. What happened to America First? I guess that is for the elites, not for We The People! Rather be employed under woke Biden than be broke under Trump. Ironically the last time I was laid off was under Trump....
Landmark Buffalo had many layoffs this am- NCM, LP, UV, are medical director, CC, social work… so many affected
Any idea what the future is for IRF and HH for home and community preservice coordinators?
Home care Urgent care nurses for landmark/optum in pa all got fired this am except me and maybe one other.. last day Feb 2.. this is so ridiculous.. just holding my breath for my turn.. the managers only found out last night!
Last day is 2/6. Can't say I didn't see this coming. Almost 200 in our call. All muted. So lovely. Feeling appreciated.
Multiple Clinical Team managers in Kentucky, Ohio, and Cross Market for Home+Community are done now (Used to be navi).
Illinois Chicago markets effected, not sure how many layoffs will happen. But it's clinical staff.
2 clinical team managers from NY (home and community, SNF auths) laid off.
Delta Travel team impacted this am
RECOMMENT: Please keep in mind you are NOT safe just because you didn't get fired this time. I was the only one in my department. It is simply the luck of the draw. PLEASE protect your income.
Anything on the Texas market? Non-clinical review/SICC. One of our managers were just let go, another just a month prior, and our big boss cancelled all meetings!!
Most CSOCs and HHCCs (about 330 people) under Home and Community Care's (formerly naviHealth) Home Health department will have March 31st as their last day. Another call happened 30 minutes later for the remaining hundred or so people and they will be moved to other departments and keep their jobs.
Bloodbath. It means bloodbath.
“ Layoffs Jan. 23, 2025: NOTICE TO ALL OPTUMINSIGHT MEDICAL/PHARMACY/CLINICAL EXCHANGE NETWORK
SOLUTIONS SUPPORT AND OPERATIONS EMPLOYEES IN SALARY GRADES 22-30 IN
OPTUMINSIGHT IN REMOTE LOCATIONS.”
what does this mean?
I had a Clinical Connect meeting at 8:45 this morning. There were almost 600 people in this meeting. We didn’t have the option to use our mics or turn our cameras on. They said that changes were happening and they’re cutting off 2 other markets.
What has been the difference in the Clinical Connect and Team Check In Mtg?
Home health CSOC (legacy Navi) Just got off the call. Sounds like the whole department is gone. 3/31 is last day.
Some in Home Health have a meeting at the moment. Last day 3/31
Some physicians in HBMC laid off.
Any news for NJ? What was the 845am meeting supposed to explain
I'm in RCM - Anesthesia and just had our Team Mtg boot. Our positions were eliminated because they lost so much business. Lies, lies, lies. It's because they are offshoring all our work.
For those let go, is your last day today (1/23) or 2 weeks from now? Or additional weeks from now?
Manager RX. Changed 1:1 from Wednesday to Thursday. I was thinking this was it once that happened. Good luck everyone!
This Eid you who are laid off were you do contractors or FTE through UH/ Optum?
Any news of layoffs in MRP/OTH/CTP? They are part of OAH.
My heart goes out to all impacted. Optum is one of the worse organizations to be at. And a big secret that needs to be shared with the government and the press: PHI data in not being protected. That is part of the contract with patients. The service is horrible.
