We won't see numbers until they're given to us in early February, in the AIP discussions.

Finance needs to rubber stamp some results and then the board gets to decide if we actually earned as much as the numbers say we did.

There was a rumor that AIP results were moving to a new employee dashboard that will consolidate information for payroll, AIP, 401k, pension, GESPP, HSA/FSA and other accounts. While initially set to launch in Q4 2024, the debut of the 3M Personal Finance Access System (PFAS) was delayed until Q2 2025. Feedback from opinion surveys indicates employees have a strong desire to learn more about personal finance and how they can take action to manage their own financial futures. This is especially relevant in light of the difficult decision to freeze the pension plan in 2028 along with previous necessary actions to reduce costs by reducing the 401k match, reducing RMSA contributions, and discontinuing stock options for some job grades. By linking their external bank accounts, credit cards, IRAs, brokerage accounts, and even 401ks from previous employers, 3M employees will be able to view a comprehensive financial summary on the PFAS Dashboard.

What can employees learn from 3M Best Financial Practices (BFPs) that they can apply to their personal and family finances? By working with an intern at Kearney Financial Consulting (KFC), 3M employees can learn about the financial levers they can pull to provide for their families today while saving for the retirement of their dreams. Simple actions like buying a half gallon of milk twice a week instead of a full gallon once a week, managing gasoline inventory between 1/8 and 1/4 of a tank rather than filling it up, celebrating the kids' birthdays and accomplishments with a certificate in lieu of an expensive gift or a meal at a restaurant, and telling the babysitter you'll pay her 90% at the end of the month and the remaining 10% next March (as long as she's still babysitting for you on December 31st and your family meets its' financial goals for the year) can improve cash flow and free up money to invest for retirement.

We're sorry that you're having trouble finding the AIP results for your business unit. At 3M, being transparent with employees about all aspects of the business is a top priority. We want you to have access to data in a timely manner so you can feel confident that all of the calculations are accurate and that 3M is delivering on the promise we made to you as a valued employee.

That said, if you're having trouble accessing this data, it's probably your fault. Have you tried clearing your browser's cashe and cookies? Have you tried a different browser? Have you reached out to your local IT professional for help? If your laptop is more than 1 year old, you might consider requesting a new laptop with the latest operating system updates, security software suite, and our new 3M Silver Chrome Browser which was developed for seamless integration with 3M Go (soon to be re-branded as the 3M Silver Chrome Intranet). If these recommended actions don't resolve your problem, please reach out to your supervisor. They can provide you with a paper printout detailing the calculation of your AIP bonus when you eventually meet to finalize your 2024 annual performance review.

Thank you for all that you do for 3M.

Those numbers below are fake! I don’t understand why people do this.
The payout has not been released yet. I assume it will published within this year.

AIP isn't a bonus. They shave a percent off of your salary that you should be getting paid and dangle in front of your nose like a carrot with the ability to not pay it out if they chose not to.

Wondering how SIP compares to AIP? Guessing SIPs are t like that when you have OTIF in 80’s. Seems a little disconnected if sales teams are missing sales goals because of backorders.

AIP may be next to go…….it shows as ‘bonus’ pay in workday. Ki-l bonuses like AIP and WYW as a way to get people to leave without severance. That and cuts are the only ideas of those with no vision or ability to lead
