what groups are you all working in that you aren't getting backfills? wave initiatives are new projects we are supposed to work on to bring in more revenue. people submit their ideas and it goes through a whole chain of people to approve it.

Wave inititative is basically the mckins plan. Its just their fancy name for lets change . More or less global pays these guys to come in do the dirty work of firing people.

I dont know what twist list means, but my guess is that is a list you dont want to be on.

I got laid off in the last big one at the end of August on the day of my 10 yr anniversary. I worked hard as well. I have been reading to keep up what is going on. Please define the following terms..

What is the wave initiative?
What is twist list?
What is backfill position?

I have been an extended term contractor with this company for a while and it is horrible knowing I am done with this place in a few weeks. Don't let anbody tell you they are about loyalty here. They promised me I would be a full timer when I was first contracted. I know others that were told the same thing. It has always been the same lie. Just wait till march. I dont even get reviews like the employees get. My work is always done on time and my boss gets along great with me. Three years wasted.

My manager told our team, we were not getting backfills. That we simply had to deal. Then we were told we need to make more visible changes or we may end up on the twist list. Nothing like having that sick to my stomach feeling every meeting. I have a two year old and that is stressfull
enough. I dont like the do this or else game.

Management had no say the letting the contractors go. That was all part of GP2025. Receiving the required budget for backfilling is extremely difficult.

Wave is a joke.McKinsey is doing what they do and Sr Leadership does not care.Completely dismantling the company.Gross incompetence and negligence from CSuite Execs. They are hoping for people to continue to quit so no severance is paid out.I hope the people reading this understand the layoffs and restructuring will not stop.More and more positions impacted by offshoring efforts and more people on the "twist" list going forward.

Well, if you mean my manager letting some of our team go last month who were contractors and now I have to do what they were doing plus my own sh-t, then all I can say is great plan. I guess we all drown in this wave.
