Bloomingdales wasn’t there that long but it is pathetic Macys is closing its San Francisco location and an abandonment of the community that supported it for decades. That store used to be grand, and evolved into a generic rolling rack reminiscent of TJ maxx

Theft…while an issue…is a talking point Execs use to distract from poor performance. The reality is the underlying real estate is worth more than the retail operations. Quick cash grab that’s all.
Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s are trying to get out of all downtown locations.
First Macy's and now Bloomingdale's. SF has a major problem with retail theft. I'm sure this was a major factor in these closings.
