Thread regarding Kyndryl layoffs

Hiring Consult Partners?

I keep getting contacted by recruiters for "consult partner" roles. What exactly is that role? Sounds like it's both sales and delivery. Is it advisable to consider and join Kyndryl now?

Don’t bother, Consult Partner role is stressful. Management does not know if they want tech heavy vs selling. And they are nowhere close to hitting numbers ever.

Stay well clear from this mediocre bodyshop if you value growth and opportunity.

Kyndryl inherited all the legacy IT infra sh-t contacts from IBM and are they are dying by a thousand cuts.

The consult practice is a compete joke, has zero eminence and hires only the bottom of the barrel.

I would not recommend joining this company. Last year was with a lot of customers leaving and this year is not looking better. On the top, in CPE role you will be between 2 stones - delivery x business, and believe me, it really hurts..
