Check out this sad press release: https://www.ncrvoyix.com/newsroom/phillips-66-and-mach-1-revolutionize-their-checkout-experience-with-ncr-voyix-halo-checkout-solution-and-everseen-technology
"NCR Voyix Halo Checkout, has been live at a select Phillips 66® branded Mach 1 station since November 2024." Got that? One single Mach 1 station has had a Halo -- since November! (When it probably became apparent that we'd have absolutely nothing to talk about at NRF if this didn't happen.) Weirdly, the PR doesn't say where the station is, but Mach 1 appears to have only a couple of dozen stores.
This is also pathetic: "The solution is available now for pre-order across the US, Canada, UK and EU." The solution has been available for two years! But nobody will buy it. It's also confusing that Halo is a piece of hardware, and aren't we getting out of hardware?
Where is the adult supervision at this company?
