I know it’s hard to be positive with such uncertainty with RIFs right now: so my question to all those who read this page.
Regardless if you have been laid off or are currently employed let’s help each other and give ideas or companies that are hiring.
I do clinical admin work and I am seriously thinking of just looking into the nursing homes near me since I have nursing experience working in a hospital as well.
I even got an interview for a daycare position but have to consider the deep pay cut: Those are two options that I have skills in but not necessarily doing what I do now.
Does anyone else have any other career suggestions or companies? Obviously remote nationwide will be great but I’m not holding my breath for that.

During a layoff I tried and tried to change industry and was told repeatedly that it would take too long for me to get up to speed in whichever industry I applied to regardless of what it was, be it financial, scientific, aviation, retail, etc. They all wanted people who already had that experience and lots of it and there was simply no way for me to get it without getting a job there.
Home care is not a great place to be
This isn’t helpful but I’m getting out of healthcare and health insurance all together. This place has put me over the edge. I got in it originally to help people but I’ve come to realize I only really help executives get rich. I know that’s capitalism but this is healthcare for Christ sake. You know, life and death.
Anyways, my advice is to get out or work somewhere small. Large companies are inhumane.
A hospital
Isn’t ideal right now either, most of what they would train you in you now need a degree for with the same pay if not lower. I’m looking into home care with one of the City agencies near me as well it seems safer
You may want to go back in to the Hospital ...
