Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

NRF 2025 Just Ended

From the CTO -

This year's National Retail Federation (NRF) trade show took place last week in New York and showcased the vast and dynamic landscape of retail technology, with over 40,000 attendees representing more than 6,200 brands and 1,000 exhibitors. This year, we showed how NCR Voyix enables retailers to thrive by transforming commerce. By leveraging our flexible, scalable, data-driven commerce platform, our customers can constantly evolve to keep up with their consumers' expectations. Our booth stood out with live demos and real-time transaction displays on a massive LED wall, reinforcing our commitment to solving retailers' challenges through impactful software solutions. On Tuesday, David Wilkinson hosted a session with Greg Cathey, SVP of Transformation & Innovation at Wal Mart, titled "Appetite for Change: How Retailers and Restaurants are Evolving with Customer Trends", where they explored the latest trends and how Walmart is addressing customer and associate friction points with new technology tools. Despite feedback our team on the ground heard from attendees suggesting slower overall retail industry innovation this year, key trends such as AI-driven checkout and self-scan shopping carts were prevalent, pointing to the industry's ongoing efforts to enhance tech solutions for retailers. As we continue to refine our capabilities, developing authentic use cases, testimonials, and quality execution remains critical to our success in this evolving landscape. Overall, it was a great event, and we are proud of the technology we showcased.

Smoke and mirrors, smoke and mirrors. That has been the salespersons handbook for the last 10 years.

Reads like an AI-generated buzzword salad. Figures Voyix can't even write a few sentences themselves let alone any products worth mentioning.

It's weird that this note doesn't mention any specific NCR Voyix technology by name. It's almost like we don't have any.
