First of all, I wanna start off by saying this is the best January I have had in my 9 years with the company because it’s the last one. I secured a great job earlier this month and waiting for my visa transfer approval so I can quit.
The culture in IT is the reason I decided to leave. Its made me wonder how come the visa scams are so widespread and common in CVS. My only guess is execs are being paid under the table to let this slide publicly? Why else would cvs let contractor/body shops thrive and continue converting their contractors to full time employees. On projects I’ve worked on 5 to 6 visa consultants are assigned the work when 1 to 2 qualified people could easily do the job. I know those contractors aren’t being paid enough. But the vendors are. And cvs could easily afford 1-2 good full time hires, over paying body shops contractor rates for 5 people. This is just the finances, I don’t need to say much about the poor quality of work, performance, low morale, it also lowers the hiring bar for Americans hires - here you guys are!

@me look at the top execs - lots of indians. Tilak will always protect Sherrif and sherrif will project raja and the rest of his indian counterparts. i do think cvs is waking up and we know that tilak proposed spend billions of dollars on tech improvements (by hiring more body shop contractor buddies) I will tell you - this is not gone unnoticed and we will be seeing more questions, scrutiny and from what i know - some of these folks are not as safe as they think
I said it to someone over at UNH yesterday, until companies are forced to hire people who physically reside in the United States and are naturalized citizens, layoffs and lower pay will continue.
Imagine the PR for saying In order to solve for the unemployment /looming recession crisis, CVS has decided all work will be done in the US and we will no longer support Visa sponsorship.
And so, it begins! USA is finally getting wise to the scams. The scammers are in for a rude awakening. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-imposes-visa-bans-india-travel-agents-facilitating-illegal-migration-2025-05-19/
American companies have been stolen. It's started 30 years ago and it's late to do anything about it. Hiring h1b's to do project management and low-level jobs is disgraceful. This is happening in other countries as well.
This statement is one hundred percent true. The DHS, the DOL, and the USCIS need to look into these malpractices and take stringent action. The SEC also needs to investigate because it is a public company. I've also heard that some CVS employees have purchased 2-3 large houses in MA, RI, and other states, have 2-3 Tesla SUVs, Range Rover SUVs and have employees their spouses through the back door into easier projects at that company. No wonder it it, and should go belly up. Disclaimer: I wrote on the basis of holding public stock of this company, based on publicly available info on various forums.
CVS has the worst culture for a reason. Body shops in other companies don’t scam and misbehave at the level they do here. 100% the Indian managers get paid bribes for keeping contractors because take a look at the work and efficiency 😂
When even Bernie Sanders agrees that h1b is a complete scam, you know it needs to be thrown in the trash. India has a fully networked system set up to discriminate against the US, and it parasitically drains large companies department by department until everything from CEO/CTO down is pervaded with an attitude of "we have the best IT shop because it is indian!" racist. cognizant got sued for it and lost, but somehow the horror continues and boards/AMERICAN executives dont see it
I personally know managers that make $1000 per month for each person to keep them employed and fake work. All deals done in cash by middle men. Managers under Anup Kamath are infamous for such dirty business
So very, very true, bringing onshore is a scam and CVS is paying
This never made sense to me either. Company needs to bail itself out. Fine.
Cut excessive contractors. Instead they cut employees. Some contractors sit all day on on project doing nothing.
It's either really bad management or there are kickbacks.
Not just IT look at A&BC filled with Indians on H1B in junior positions and some mid level managers in the name of so called talent gap. All they churn out is low quality work not expected from exceptional talents as original intent of H1B was
There comes a point where Diversity in hiring turns out to be the opposite of what was originally intended.
TCS, infosys, telgus, cognizant and the likes are the dead weight drowning cvs IT! Absolute trash and scamsters stealing American jobs!
100% some of the new IT leadership is on the take and getting kickbacks from vendors.
TM and AR are the most obvious.
Anyone smart enough to expose this or even say something got job eliminated.
Patsies, pushovers and the hired friends remain protecting the schemes.
Now who would/could you even tell?
