JPMC RTO - Existing Remote employees

I’m curious about those who are remote, live within an hour of an office and negotiated WFH in their contract. I know they get renewed every year. Is Papa Jamie enforcing this too?

As someone who is remaining remote, I can confirm some roles that were permanently remote will remain remote. With office space shortages already, I imagine this guidance will remain in place for at least another year.

Those hired as WFH at least in a tech team, as I was were told if in tech, we must report in to one of the official tech hubs, no exceptions. This would require many to relocate at one's own cost to new states and towns as there are only so many tech hubs. However, there is no guarantee that these employees will be wanted/welcomed/permitted to even work at the tech hubs. Those employees will be taking a lot of chances with no confirmed stability and a change in wages in most cases. Just an FYI from a member of a team with 100% WFH from time of hire and geographically dispersed teammates.

Its not fair that some people got paid to watch their kids for years and had to step away from their computer whilst i picked up the slack. Stepping away for half a day did not happen when we were in the office...

When they started bringing us back 3x a week, my whole team sat in another state. I still had to come into the office and sit within another department.

I've heard from folks who used to have permanent WFH Exception, that they've been asked to go back to the nearest office, even if said office doesn't LOB presence for that individual.

In other words, even if no one you work with, goes to the office near you, you must go to the office location, sit alone and work.

From what I understand and from what I was told, anyone who is "permanent" work from home such as Columbus, they are going to remain work from home

Nope all those will be under re-review now and more than likely pulled due to new policy.
