Seriously this is a website to talk about layoffs and to read between the lines in which department is going to get cut. For those of you who are saying to quit, to stop whining and just being overall je-ks to those who are worried. Why are you on here? If you’re going to be a di-k to someone saying hey they are doing offshoring: planning to cut this department on this date (which you are a boot locker if you think otherwise) and complain that people be greatful for the cr-p work environment they are in( depending which department they are in) why are you so worried about those of us who won’t tolerate the cr-p the company is doing? I love my Job, love my manager and my co workers but I still think upper management and the shareholder’s are POS and they need to stop offshoring jobs and laying us off because they can’t be satisfied with the amount of money they have. We need more US workers to get on the field to help our patients and actually properly train people (and not hire for DEI purposes) to get people the care they need. All of what they are doing is showing why so many agree and cheered on Mario’s brother.

How many posts are you going to continue to make? You probably don't even work for Optum. No one is clueless about layoffs. Fact is there is nothing you are going to do about it. Your endless whiny ranting posts go nowhere. When your time is up, it up. People need to either deal with it being a reality in corporate life, or go work at McDonalds. UHC isn't going anywhere, they will drag Optum through the mud but its still going to be here. Witty said by 2028 he is going to make sure there are changes to Optum Rx and pharmacy costs. What does that mean? Pharmacists and the twenty teams of people that do the same work, are going to see big changes. They are cutting the fat, trimming the excesses leadership, people that don't meet the cut and duplication of services. If you fall within those categories move on or deal with it.
I used to be optimistic for this company but honestly lost my positivity. I’ve seen too much of the upper management politics that this company runs on. It’s all about how to extort more money for X project or how to compete with Y project not how to reduce premiums for everyday Americans.
After building 10s of millions of dollars worth of cost saving software over 10 years it hasn’t once made a difference in our members lives. All that extra profit goes to the executives and shareholders. Record profits and they still offshore to make more record profits. It’s infinite gluttony year after year.
Yeah, I need this job for now until I can find another but let’s not pretend we actually help people here.
In terms of layoffs, I’m not hearing much right now past what other posts have said.
But the shareholders and black rock/ vanguard exces obviously have worked so hard, so hard, harder than every one else in the company to earn those billions of dollars they so desperately need
