Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Who is the next CEO and what will be left for them?

So DWW is now 60 and hopefully we only have a few years with him and the chase to the bottom of the barrel.

So who will be the next CEO and what- The MC (ex KM) are all ready for retirement so it won’t be them

Bart? The new Upstream President Dan or is it another downstreamer?

And what will be left? We have upgraded our assets on a like for like basis but significant reduced number and drained the pool of talent. It is only a matter of time before we see integrity issues and all of the experience is retiring and a massive gulf in the 45-55 and 30-40 age range.

DWW doesn’t even like DA. He put DH in LCS and asked him to be his watchdog. DA is only in upstream to create a financial model of the company. Not a chance DA will be next CEO. Those of us who worked closely with DA know he leaves destruction in his path.

What about D Gennetti; LCS SVP, early 50s, principled, charismatic, genuine, intelligent,…

Also Kathy was the innovator that dreamed up Hotdesking and spent million$ to restack campus to abandon owned buildings that we must still heat and cool to avoid mold.

There must be big plans for her because they gave her an $8 million signing bonus just to quit her accounting job at a liq-or distribution company.

True CEO material.

Are you all forgetting about Kathy!?! She has all these “wins” for driving down costs ( by worsening benefits, lowering headcount, slowing salary increases, slowing promotions, and eliminating policies. Just because it has also lowered employee morale and company real performance doesn’t mean she is not in the running). Ugh

Definitely will be an outside recruit.

Already setting the trend to place outsiders in top positions to normalize obtaining CEO from outside.

The Danny boy from LCS for sure. He's already digging a hole under DW and KM feet. They'll fall soon. He bankrupt Cruise, trashed LCS, now it's time for the whole corporation to go under while he pockets millions. For all of you poor working souls employees of this corporation JUST GET A NEW FU--ING JOB WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. How many times do we have to say that this is a dead horse corporation? ExxonMobil is fu--ing done. Get out of here now.

Does Crocker have a chance? Doesn’t he have the wrong accent for the job? He is a Brit so won’t be up for the main role for CEO of an American company

Will be gone by that time, and will have zero ties to Exxon, so in summary I couldn’t care less

CEO talent and capacity beyond those listed absolutely exists in the organisation.

Whoever checks the most diversity boxes will be next. Very likely not someone born in the US.

It will be outsider or somebody in their late 40s. All the people mentioned will be late 50s when Darren retires. Darren was VP six years before becoming CEO at 52.

Who is left that knows how to run a business as if it was their own? I say no one. Time line till a real merger with someone. If I had to guess 15 years.
