Your managers aren't going to tell you, they are trying to save their own butts. Running their mouths is going to put a target on their backs. Optum will continue to try and tread water, eliminating positions along the way. They are a company their goal is to make money. If hiring cheap labor overseas does that, they will continue to do it. No amount of whining on an anonymous board is going to change a thing. Neither is all of your a-s kissing, nothing pleases me more than watch these fools think they are getting promoted and then the positions are filled from another department or outside. Not all positions are going overseas, but some people are never getting out of the role they are in.

Those of us who know the facts can’t disclose it or else it’ll give us away I don’t agree with the company or how it’s ran but I got bills I’m keeping this job by any means and y’all need to fight for yours I don’t want to see anymore get load off to go to offshore workers because they can pay them cheaper than us

The fact is every month for the next 3 years there will be layoffs. This is known by everyone. And you most likely will be replaced by OGA but only if they really even need your position.... Why do we have like 10 teams of 4 or 5 people under 1 manager. Why not just move them all under like 2? It used to be that they still needed a human located in US, but after latest H1B change, that can be a onshore H1B or their spouse a lot easier.

You'll be replaced by OGA, Optum Global Advantage.

I think you might be asking too much from a anonymous message board. I've heard rumors about a bigger than normal RIF coming, but nothing substantiated, which it wouldn't be to my level. I know we've lost a ton of customers since the cyber attack. I know upper management is pushing budget to oversea teams(look where they're hiring), AI, automation, and cloud tech. I know my manager says she is getting threatened with defunding from her bosses a lot. I know oversea teams are taking on more and more technical responsibilities in my neck of the woods.

The facts are that for over a year all or some of multiple brands under UHG have been directed from the top down, to identify every role that can be sent out of the US. They have lists with employees identified for layoffs....or move them around to layoff later as they sneak around reporting via the WARN act and to shareholders. It's a massive coordinated project including project managers, staffing managers and so on. Many people are aware at this point.

The ones who know the facts refuse to be transparent! Sometimes when you ask leadership direct questions they are either evasive with their answers, or they flat out lie.
