My Store Manager was showing a peer (salary manager) a job specific task (my job) on a day that I was off. He then proceeded to tell her that she needed to learn how to do my job because of what’s doing to happen to me and another manager. He has not spoken to me about anything yet and I think this is downright disrespectful and unprofessional!

That’s what happens with no store line HR . Managers think they can say and do these things and no repercussions will happen.
Very unprofessional Macys.
Answer the questions OP
Sounds like you aren’t performing and seek attention, let alone cant be trusted in such a critical role.
What was the task he was asking them to learn?
MBA can’t be laid off.
What position does the other manager hold?
I'm a MBA. Worried now. I wonder what this means.
Yes, I heard it directly from the manager he said it to because they felt uncomfortable. I am a MBA
Did you hear about this most recent interaction from the Other Manager he spoke with? If so, I would get a 100% understanding of the exact wording he used when speaking to the other manager.
I'd then ask him about why he is having other manager learn task. If he BS's you, let him know outright what you learned about whats happening to your position. Call out how unprofessional it was. Open HR case.
That's horrible.
Whats your position?
And yes, he has been reported to hr before for several different things such as announcing someone’s medical history while they are on LOA in the middle of the store rally. He went directly to the person who reported it and told them that HR said it was them who reported it. No one trusts HR in our store. Is this happening elsewhere?
