Thread regarding GE Healthcare layoffs

What will FY2025 bring

GE HC reports 2024 on Feb 13th

Any bets on winners and losers?

Anesthesia will still be selling 10 year old models and the latest and greatest will not even be 510K pending.

I feel really bad for all who have to keep up with the random schedules.

Although some of the SPRs (system Problem Reports) are too outrageous to not write up and others are downright dangerous.

Guess it is time to write some more SPRs - would be much easier if we could just point out what law of thermodynamics has be broken but there is no spot for that on the form

Let me tell you a story about a company that choses to do business with a horde of inexperienced, low cost engineers implementing the ideas of an annointed, overpaid few that are much better at image management than engineering, all driven to unrealistic schedules by "supercharged" product management that couldn't give a cr-p about good product development practices...

Will be interesting to see where they cut this time, so management heavy, but yet they keep cutting the worker bees and hiring more 'people managers' to manage less people.
