There was an emergency memo pushed out today to high level leaders to stop all Town Halls, Announcements and Communications....aka layoff notices. To only communicate daily business critical items for operations. Very unusual. It is urgent we call local media and government watchdogs to report the conspiracy against US based employees by UHG. Also that god like medical information access and every other type of "insider" info is being sent to workers in countries across the world. I am telling you, if you go to any hospital or medical provider that UHG has agreements with, they are sending those records to be worked by people that are working from home in unsecured environments with access to every personal detail about you. And if they are not today, they are planning to when they replace US employees with non-trust worthy foreign workers, part of the layoff conspiracy. Call your doctors offices, hospitals, elected officials and demand US patient info and critical UHG records ARE NOT SENT OUT OF THE US. Many payors do not allow this but UHG sends them to foreign countries anyway. If there is a major audit they will find this. Foreign workers use this data to blackmail US patients literally every day. It is a buffet of fraud served up on a platter. Imagine 3-4 generations of family living in one home and your medical records are on the screen of an Optum/UHC employee working from home, secretly selling your info for blackmail and fraud purposes. That is the reality.

Workers for at least the past 10-15 years. This is nothing new.
The feds know about this, and don't care. I personally reported it to my State Senator years ago. He didn't care.
There was a memo from legal and communications that went to VPs up, to desist all announcements last Friday. It was disseminated to other leaders involved in the Globalize domestic roles project. It is no secret to many levels now. Probably just a pause as UHG schemes what's next..
You are not reviewing medical records, if you were you would know those records were submitted by providers and those cover sheets with demographics on them are from external providers. This has been going on for over twenty years, and yes every payer does this. To the id--t trying to raise a red flag, your ignorance has you stuck in the mud.

I can confirm that offshore at this company can see SSN, DOB, NAME, address of pretty much any us citizen or us military who use uhg . Is it illegal? Yes! Does anyone care? No!

Those saying this doesn't happen are low level clueless dreamers. This absolutely happens and a massive amount of US patient and claims info is readily available to low integrity foreign workers in completely unsecured locations all over the world. Optum Global is a completely separate wing who are taking over everything. Fraud and low integrity are rampant from widespread timecard fraud to high level data integrity fraud. Optum Global leaders, even in the US, are not incentivized to do anything but look the other way, even when reported it is swept under the rug. Time and time again fraud has been found at Optum Global taking advantage of UHG but it's swept under the rug and their scope of control has quietly grown as part of the scheme to replace US workers. It's a company conspiracy and it is going to blow up in the end and hurt everyone, including shareholders and UHG Exec's beloved Blackrock Investment Group.
For the people claiming secure claims exist, I can tell you there is literally an army of Indian Wipro software engineers that don’t know anything about programming that get access to just about all claims data. That has the potential for way more damage than a processor. Their integrity is also pretty low because they lie on their resumes to inflate their true expertise. I wouldn’t want them to have access to any system with PHI.
For folks in M&R, from what I hear, those IT teams left the entire system open for 3 years as long as you had a 5 digit number. They were only recently caught and it was swept under the rug by the security teams.
This poster is uneducated on how HC works and a nuisance. I would prefer to work with an off-shore worker with a good attitude and needs some coaching than an American with bad attitude. Been there done that.

This is true, I WFH reviewing patients charts and am shocked to see social security numbers, copies of their drivers licenses, and other personal info. I’m in the US and would never do anything with their info but it still makes me uncomfortable to know there’s others out there who could. I worked for another company who banned social security numbers from being documented so there is no reason their full SSNs need to be sent around like that

Wow, that’s a lot to take in. I guess we shall see if the incoming administration lets all of this fly under the radar. UHG has been the scope of millions since the attention focused on the greed and unsavory practices came under scrutiny sow powerfully after the mu---r of Thompson. It is not surprising that they have pushed planned layoffs forward to after the next administration is in place. Betcha the new session of Congress drops any investigation into UHG too.
