Thread regarding Rockwell Automation Inc. layoffs

These new layoffs need to be happening at the manager level and above

The company is top heavy with too many managers. SVPs, VPs, Directors, Managers. Look on teams, you can find managers who only have 1-3 direct reports under them. These new layoffs need to be happening at the manager level and above. How about getting rid of managers who only approve vacation and do PADR reviews and put skilled people in those manager positions. People who can do a hybrid role of a manager and still carry their own weight and work side by side with the people they manage.

Exactly what @cs+1jhpjnb3h said!

RA has too many managers who clearly maxed out. They cannot be promoted, too expensive to fire, too incompetent to build strong teams. RA must take steos to flatten the organization to survive and be globally competitive

To the nut job who has a hard on for PLEX Systems, please seek professional help and get off this message board. If you truly think something is wrong, report it to the Ombuds.

Looks like the public EPS targets and internal points for bonus aren't quite aligned. That's a new dou--e move. If you barely miss the public targets your bonus will be 0.0% Blake and Becky are pure incompetence

When you have incompetent directors/VPs whether IT or other business functions then it's bound to happen. Sh-t culture and company which has worsened in last 3 years.

The lack of growth will force more layoffs. That coupled with the unbeleivable promotion of some real B-team leaders shows how badly Blake has managed the talent (and let SO many good ones walk out). Too bad. It used to be a good company. Now it is mediocre.

There are many to many email forwarders, meeting attenders, non value add ppl managers / directors completely disconnected from products and customer whose only job is to report numbers generated from the PowerBIs.

Many ppl managers can be let go without any negative impact to the business! It would actually improve the efficiency of communication!

Ppl managers who can do a hybrid role of a manager (approve vacations, PADR etc), serve as SME, and do actual work will probably survive. Currently, there way too many managers provide zero value and serve only as cheerleaders.

Unfortunately, Most of the remote roles in US/Canada can be outsourced to India (at 1/5th of the cost)
