Is it true people are getting laid off with no severance?

Fossil is a joke. It’s been a joke since 2018. Get with the times. Every good person left years ago
Your would-be severance is likely in Nick Jonas' pocket. But I guess it seemed like a good investment at the time...
Hate to break it to you, but Fossil's reputation is pretty bad right now. We've had terrible customer service and an influencer with a large following put a pretty big spotlight on how badly we fumbled misfit.
Look at our reviews on TrustPilot and SiteJabber.
Did Fossil lay off the marketing team? It is draining money, spending enormous amounts for no return in the past few years. Who makes these decisions to allocate budget to marketing when, over the last few years, it has brought no return? Shut down the marketing team and save hundreds of millions of dollars. Those who want Fossil will buy it even if there is no marketing, as that is the strength of being a known brand. Stabilize the position with the money saved and spend more on R&D to bring better models to the market. Bring talent who can solve the problems and not keep those who created the current situation.
After each round of layoffs, the severance gets smaller and smaller. I would not expect one at this point or if you do, it’s barely anything.
I have heard this has affected people laid off this past week and who have been with the company for over five years. Don’t think it makes sense to stick around to wait for that package
No. My layoff had severance. But that was in late 2024.
Looks like it’s all going to Boyer’s severance
Bad managers do this for their own career promotion
