It was recently found out that CHC employees are not getting the RRP. CHC employees also didn’t get it last year. It’s annoying hearing them try to put on a facade that we are welcomed and part of the team, but it is clear we are not valued. The only reason I stay here is because I need to for now, but I’ll definitely be job hunting soon. It’s so annoying seeing businesses making all this profit, but then treating their employees like sh-t.

Merit and cost of living are independent it is humorous how people equate the two. Merit implies skill and effort whereas COLA has no skill other than warming the chair. Yup merit is low always has been and yet here you still are. COLA never existed at this company and never will.
CHC was a terrible merger. That started the decline of UHG at fault of UHG. There was an agreement to not layoff CHC employees for a certain amount of time, so UHG laid off UHG Management and inserted incompetent CHC leaders into key positions at which they utterly failed at. Now we get the next round who are just trying to send all jobs outside of the US to prop up stock prices.
Bonus pool is never 100$ funded and never will be. Had high scores for 17 years at optum and same s-b story every year. Merit never exceeds 2% to keep recurring labor costs down so the bonus carrot is dangled every year. One off charge to the books and no compounding of gains on the wage keeps costs down. If you receive below a 3 on an eval you are gone soon.
It's funny how CHC is being blamed, but they were bought by Optum so technically this is Optum and UHs fault. They had a responsibility to make sure security was up to the standards of Optum and they didn't! Whose fault is that....not CHC. CHC didn't buy Optum, they bought CHC. Optum needs to take respresponsibility for being lazy and not making sure security was up to snuff! Let's be clear, who purchased CHC and who owned CHC when the cyberattack happened....Optum. This is on UHG/Optum for cutting corners where security is involved.
RRP is one of the bonus models. You are funded according to GL. E.g. you’re GL28 making $100k salary. GL28 are eligible for 10%, so your $100k salary puts $10K in a pool that you share with other 28s in your reporting structure. But that is subject to the funding percentage, which depends on “company performance.” If they fund at 75%, your contribution to the pool is now $7500. What part of that you actually get depends on your annual review. To get that “full” $7500, you’d need a 4-5 rating. In theory, someone rating a 4-5 can get more than 100% of that amount, but someone else in that shared pool gets less. Those receiving scores 1-2 get zero bonus, and 3s are eligible for a partial share.
All of that to say, when you hear your bonus potential is x% of your salary, don’t count on it ever being the full amount.
Every time the people team says we have a "rewarding results" philosophy I wonder how they sleep at night.
75% RRP means you get 75% of the the funding amount. Say a 29 is funded at 15% of salary. You will get 75% of that amount to spread around.
- 5% merit. means you get 1.5% of the salaries on your team to spread around. That is so low that any ranked a 3 will not get a merit.
- 5% merit, what a joke. How many years in a row can they fund half of what inflation is?

RRP came in at 75% and merit at 1.5%. A joke of merit as usual and now each level above wants a hold back. So if you are a 3, you are not getting a merit raise.
