Am hearing of a big offsite meeting in Spain next week (Jan 20). Is it a time for celebrations, or a time for more bad news? Does anyone know?

They are doing something similar by getting the business to group in Vietnam.
In my opinion, the Spain meeting in itself is bad news. I hope that obligatory paella on the first night will live up to my expectations and send me to bed for the rest of the stay. If not, it is 4 days of forced-celebrations during your time off (all evening celebrations are considered private time). I am still waiting for an explanation of what is meant by „people first“. Can anyone tell me?
Better be brushing up on our proper Spanish.
