The Japanese are notorious for sending employees to their graves early, quite literally.
Employees are not valued whatsoever. You are only a widget to enrich Kobayashi and his cronies. You must be willing to march in line, regurgitate the Kool Aid, and never, and I mean never, question authority.
The Japanese do not believe in democracy. Employees shall have no say in their work arrangements. Even if they do an anonymous feedback survey, the results will be thrown straight into the trash.
You must put your own needs aside for the good of the company. This is actually stated in the company values section of the online self-evaluation Oracle site, I’m not being sarcastic, they really believe this nonsense.
No company is more important than myself. I am the CEO of my own life. I will not obey and kowtow to this nonsense.
My recommendation would be to stop working hard. Let the company fail. The sooner the company goes out of business, the sooner we can move on to bigger and better opportunities.
