How's the 4000-6000 headcount reduction promised in Nov 2022 holding up?

When the quarterly results came out in Nov 2022, it was announced that HP would reduce workforce by 4000-6000 over the next three years. We are now well into the third year, so I want to know if there are some numbers on the progress of this planned workforce reduction?
Some datasets online (https://www.statista.com/statistics/264922/number-of-employees-at-hewlett-packard-since-2001/) show that 2024 ended with the employee headcount at 58000, which was the same in 2022. This is despite the early retirement plan, natural attrition, hiring freezes, SD site closure and continuous layoffs in small batches since then. I do not know if these datasets can be trusted so I find it difficult to believe that virtually nothing changed and all the headcount reduction will take place this year before Nov. I am hoping that that's not the case and we have made progress to reaching the goal of reduced headcount but you never know.

HP has one of the worst health plans for employees. Most of my colleagues are 100% covered and 80% for family. This includes medicine.
I guess that's what happens when the CEO spends all the money on stock buybacks and dividends (and yet so many employees are deluded enough to worship him).

As I said: at $1900/ month my COBRA was double of the average Silver obamacare plan offered in SoCal. It was six (repeat six) times as expensive as I was paying per month while at HP, having the cheapest high deductible self managed plan with HSA. So, signing up for COBRA would mean $23000 per year in premiums plus the deductible - another $20000 or so before COBRA even kicks in. Good morning.

Yes, as I mentioned, COBRA is about double since HP and most companies cover only half.

Completely agree with you and sorry for your struggles. No one really deserves to be fired or laid off. We are not a priority to the company: the shareholders are. I got laid off from HP last year when I just got married and bought my first house. We’re still struggling financially because of how long I was out of a job.

HP is going to hire the bare minimum and get rid of people who can be replaced with said bare minimum. “Were you at a rather top rank and top contributor of your organization? Too bad, now we hired someone in other country to do that. They won’t be able to perform at your level but our priority is cash flow, not ROI.”

I should add that I went through COBRA after my layoff. I had the same exact insurance with HP for 18 months before COBRA expired. The cost of it was twice as much as what I used to pay HP during enrollment since HP covers half of your health insurance, so it was not a bad deal at all compared to other private insurance (went from $250 a month to $500 while other insurance would have been well over 1k a month). You will go through the same regular enrollment as other HP employees each year and can make changes,

If you take COBRA, make sure you investigate 3 months before expiration if you can continue it beyond the 18 month period, which is possible under certain circumstances.

Why would anyone want someone to be fired? Take today, for example — Poly was let go, while my son is dangerously sick, and now we’ll lose our private medical care through HP. What difference does it make where we’re from or who we are? We’re all human beings just trying to survive.

Could it be that the ones fired were replaced with the poly employees? Plus, despite all the plans Ernest tried to sell to us, the best was “we don’t need so many managers”, fired a few and replaced them with externals from Rockwell, and added a few extra in the past months with all the newly invented orgs
