About Optum:
Optum is a technology arm of UnitedHealth and employs around 70,000 people (as of March 2014). Optum's teams are working collaboratively across the health industry to improve care delivery, quality and overall cost-effectiveness. Even their description is a mess, Optum is the technology arm, trying to improve quality; these fools don’t know the first thing about quality care. They shouldn’t be allowed to drive anything clinical or to do with quality, they have the worst leadership ever. Who lays off clinical staff and thinks less clinical staff to deliver care equals better quality? Mo--ns. Patients beware stay away from Optum owned Doctors.

We had a saying at our software company, "Optum - where products go to die". Sadly we were acquired and it seems to ring true.
