Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

will Donald end tech export restrictions to China ?

yes he will, and relatively soon, contrary to the myth of his 'anti-China' policies.

@cx+... define top security... Just about everyone who hasn't been drinking the kool-aid the DNC has been serving wanted him and can't wait until next Monday. Let the rodeo begin... I am pretty sure they won't be lecturing me on which pronouns to use.

trump plays by his own rules. Top security didn't want him and was doing their best to get voters to not have him in office again because he is a threat. But the price of eggs and mass deportation won. So if more jobs are lost because he's rolling the dice with his buddies in China, you all can pick fruits and vegetables and scrub toilets. In reality that's where AmeriKKKa is headed now.

If the competitors are not technically capable, deligent and motivated, can they make a dent with all the so called IP stealing?

Installing new tariffs and then removing restrictions is counterproductive. If anything he will add to it.

Trump will sell the restriction removal as 'good for the trade deficit', but it's really all about money in his party's pocket. The obvious significant military risks play second fiddle to that. Russia will also get a free ride, starting day one.

I feel that removing the restrictions and encourage head to head competitions in the free trade environment is the best for both US and China. The protectionism can only weaken the competitiveness of US. This applies to Intel also.
