No it wasn't
It was announced to those not being laid off.
5 days RTO equals to having a locker at work for you laptop and deletion of work email drop your phone.
Thought this might be interesting here - this is from a Watching IBM FB group, so relates to changes in IBM RTO policy.
Anon: T&O co-location has officially hit non-managers. Regular employees are required to be in office 3 days a week by March 10th. If you choose not to relocate near an office, you must give written notice by February 10th. They will give 30 days to work and 3 month severance. I’ve heard it’s near impossible to even get a medical exemption to WFH.
From anon: They are doing the stealth layoffs again. Everyone must go to an office 3 days a week. If you live away from a strategic site they will provide some minimal financial assistance but no m&l. It's all groups
Yes, 5 day RTO with 2 bonus days per week. 3 bonus days if its a leap year, but only if that leap year falls on an even number two digit decade. You will also be required to work from 9:42am - 7:46pm each day PST, regardless of global location, except Thursdays and Sundays that fall on prime number months when it will be 6:41pm - 8:53am GMT. Hope this helps.
Email coming 2/3. RTO for all, 5 days effective 2/10.
Omfg STOP ASKING. You’ll either find out or you won’t hear anything. JFC. If you honestly think working here won’t get worse and worse as a way to get you to quit you haven’t been paying attention for years now.
High up source says any day now.
We are never going back to the office. Period. Let's move on already.
