Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Just the truth….

Yes many folks here are ex employees that hope the company crumbles to the ground.

Yes many folks felt burned by Intel and although many left involuntarily….. many left willingly.

If you are still there, we wish you the best to “survive and advance” every year.

If you are not an RCG and are still at intel there are many reasons you may be there:

1- don’t want to leave your local area (really only a valid reason if you are in Hillsboro because there are like no other jobs).

2- acknowledgement for some of you that grade 9 level pay for Individual contributors is only feasible at faang companies. No one else is going to pay you 250k for “dining program manager”, “logistics manager”, “divestment pm”, “support manager” , “chief of staff for non important director” etc. etc.

3- just be honest, 30 hours per week, great benefits, no one breaking your marbles, no accountability… this alone is a good reason to stay and take your chances!

All that said, highly doubtful there is any bounce back, and for now the market is flooded with Intel resumes.

When working at Intel for 25 years, I was consistently beaten by people who do not know how to work and do not want to work. People who want to work are constantly stepped down by the "evil" Intel "do-not-know-how" people. Sad story. Look at the history of Intel, every chance is missed and messed by the PIG-teammates.

What Intel did in the past ten years proves that wrong people were in charge. For those who suffered under these people, it is understandable that they feel the downfall or even the death of the company to be justified. They are not the ones to blame.

You know sitting on my fat a-s sounded good when the packages are nice.

I will have to see if they maintain the packages. If they lower them I may then get motivated.

Just like Motorola in the mid 90’s. Intel will most likely see the same

Logistics managers with the right expertise can find a job anywhere in the world and work in a better environment with better supply chain experts versus Intel. You can also make much more than Intel pays. Logistics experts at Intel will never be relevant or important and always a "tier 4" employee... that is just the actual truth.

This is why companies avoid Intel resumes.
