Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

So what makes you stay?

Hey former colleagues. I left in 2021 but still have plenty of friends there who continue to share their grievances about the company. Thought I’d take a peek here and survey the damage…

Holy Toledo, things got even worse. I thought my brief stint from 2015 to 2021 (as a geologist) was bad, I didn’t imagine the company has made almost zero meaningful progress since…maybe even negative progress.

Why are you still hanging on?

I am staying at APA to improve my acting skills. Let me say this…in college I took introductory thespian acting…I do not know why I did this, but I thought it might help me down the road…:Hark, And Behold this class has paid dividends for me…APA Executive Management now thinks I am a diehard dedicated employee until the end…😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

I am in IT and it is easy work for most of us here. Most of us are pretty good in our assignments but the amount of work that are simply made up keeps a large portion of us going.

Simple. It is easier to stay than go.

Because I am incompetent. I can get away with what I do at work because the APA executive management is also incompetent. It’s fun beating them at their own game.

That is about to change. An 8k just dropped and your equity component is changing. Options are coming back.
