Too many layers of leadership are slowing down decision-making, creating bureaucracy, and leading to inefficiencies at KP. Most leaders in KP seem to be merely forwarding emails and attending meetings rather than adding real value. It may be time to rethink the structure.
@Oak2Pleasanton Spoken like a true Sr. Leader trying to make layoffs sound good and even better for the people who lose their jobs. You should be a politician.
about 75 employees laid off in HR department in Feb.
If the reorganizing= offshore continues, there will not be anyone employed to purchase policies with KP! Heard this week that Medicare will no longer pay for video visits. Not good.
Given the current organizational climate, it’s important to acknowledge that any discussions around potential workforce realignments are inherently multifaceted and contingent on a variety of dynamic factors, including strategic recalibrations, resource optimization, and evolving market conditions. While some may interpret these shifts as indicative of potential reductions, it’s crucial to consider the broader context of operational efficiency, agile workforce management, and cross-functional synergies that may result in a refocusing of talent rather than a reduction in headcount. Ultimately, any definitive conclusions would be premature without a thorough assessment of the ongoing organizational transformation and its alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
With the initial transfer of IT functions to India underway, US IT workers have cause for concern. Outsourcing most IT jobs appears to be on the horizon.
I heard that IT laid off a number of project managers and off-shored their work to India and Costa Rica.
Are there any new rumors?

Many companies are offshoring IT, and it's only a matter of time before offshore teams manage most of our IT operations. I've seen other healthcare companies offshore up to 85% of their IT operations
