PRS people - how are you?

Everyone ok over there? Any TCS people lurking here? How is the work environment?

We are all unwell. I don’t think the field truly understands the hoops PRS’ are now having to jump through and our minimum expectations. We are required to make 6 contacts per hour to our panelists, which may seem simple but I assure it is not. 5 day work weeks, at 40 hrs per week = 240 calls a week. We are harassing panelists day after day after day and upper management continues to put pressure on us. It’s a shame this is the way we’re being made to work, especially when our leader is a previous PRS who knows how monotonous this job can be. Every few months, more gets thrown at us and we have no word in the matter; basically told “it is what it is” and have to keep it moving. Interim calls last 10 minutes at the minimum, remote scheds are 10-20 minutes minimum… and add ALL of the other BS stuff we have to “coach” for and verify. I’m tired and don’t know how much more I have left in me at this place.

PRSs, don't take it personally when a field rep gets annoyed. It's not directed at you necessarily, but at the policies that you are forced to abide by, which affect our panelists, which of course leadership could care less about.

For the newer PRSs, we used to have something called FR-only, which was for homes that didn't like getting lots of phone calls, and were NTO risks. Then leadership thought, "hey let's make it tougher for everyone and get rid of that" so now panelists would be getting those calls, annoying them, leading to NTOs which count against the FR and no one else.

I have been out of it for years - long time lurker here. Being a PRS was one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever had - and I’ve had some pretty hard ones. I can’t imagine how much worse it could have gotten. Not only were the panelists rude, you also dealt with rude FRs, MR’s managers, leads and coworkers. On every angle you were being pressured and talked to like an id--t.

PRS: Panel Relations Specialist. We assist with managing TAM and Audio panels in the US by calling, emailing and texting households for compliance, quality issues and general updates.

Its a job that is harder than it sounds. Panelists get bothered by all the calls and management is constantly cracking the whip for 'more' like perverted dominatrixes. So we take it in all holes. Ear, mouth, nose and butt!
