Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

EOY rating vs compensation

There is HOW (Leadership) WHAT ( Risk/Financial/Client)

does it matter and does it do anything if I have 3/3/2/3
or is it still 3/3 ?

What I find funny is this, and we’ve all seen it.
You do well and sometimes are told, thanks you get something.
You do well and sometimes are told, thanks you get nothing.

Either way, just keep working hard for the company. It benefits the company as a whole, just be glad you’re allowed to work here.

Later when you leave you get counter offers and promises of “Citi possibilities of raises, promotions etc..” all in order to keep you here. They work hard when you are boxing up your stuff to keep you here. Its at that point they recognize your value.

The real answer is; not much. I've been here over a decade and rated everything from a 1/2 to a 3/3. The difference in comp across those variances is almost nothing. Citi is not a meritocracy.

Yes and no. Those rating dictate a range, but there is a good amount of overall on the ranges. In theory a 3/3 and 1/1 could get the same bonus.

My reply is based on the methodology I read in an HR guide.

Assuming the ‘3/2/3’ are your respective ‘what’ scores. This gets averaged and rounded up to a 3. Thank you, come again.
