It's been a while, but we're finally seeing some hiring in our group. I'd like to think that means we're beyond layoffs, at least for now, but it's hard to stay positive and optimistic given everything that happened last year (and in the past few years overall).

You’re either hiring in India or some lame PowerPoint person in the US. Don’t be coy.
Dell never stopped hiring. It’s just that every new open req or promotion requires JC’s approval. And they are continuing layoffs to get rid of highly paid seniors while there’s a new group of college hires all the time.
I’ve seen several “remote” jobs posted by Dell on LinkedIn as I continue my exit efforts. Listed as Remote and then when you click into the posting it says “this is 5 days on site”…
All the jobs advertised are now at lower grades.Look it up in workday.
Hiring is for replacing the experienced, higher cost folks w/ fresh, cheap, inexperienced meat.
We hired 7000 external people last year and only laid off 6500.
"This material life, chasing, money"
LoL. If you are chasing money working for dell you are doing it seriously wrong
What team?
Just rearranging the deck over and over and no escape from being miserable. This material life, chasing, money etc is just one big miserable thing.
