With the store closures, have they announced any other positions being cut or combined? My manager did not look happy today and left early.

Spring budget is out. Cuts all around through attrition. 2 SMM’s —> 1 SMM. Store Director’s cut when volume decreases.
Cuts should begin with store managers down to smm, ops, mba’s…if its within store cuts…company pays alot of money to these people that dont have a clue how to run a store. My store manager has no spine, he has no say in our store decisions which is very embarrassing, everyone in the store knows that, and sees that and has done nothing to our store to bring in sales. Macys really needs to see who they are hiring, instead of putting a clown as a store manager. Store managers should be come from within Macys, someone that has gone thru a process, is fair, has a “clean record” within macys and doesn’t play favoritism.
Perhaps reduction in managers, smm/ops depending store volume
There are reductions in manager positions based on store volume that will be shared in the impacted stores next week.
Do small format does have store Managers or do they have a sort of dual manager with another location? Wondering if they combine roles in small stores if they will still have a store manager?
I heard there will be some consolidations and cuts, but it won’t be “as bad” as prior years. These rumblings should be taken with a grain of salt as it most likely hinges on Q4 numbers. With the shifted and expedited annual review process, it kind of throws a wrench into timing expectations. I’m dusting off the resume just in case.
