My management did me wrong and treated me awful at the end. Was having a good year so trust me, it was not performance. Now I wait for schadenfreude.

Got a low rating last year despite having more responsibilities than more people at my level. I'm being told it will take a couple of years to recover from it. I'm looking for a job now, I'm willing to leave for a pay cut at this point. I just want a fresh start.
It's sad to see that when Medtronic suffers only the workers receive the consequences. When are we going to hold upper management and leaders accountable?
Typical horsht, all too common. Middle managers with no backbone to challenge and help their most important resource, the worker bees. Just drink the Korporate Koolaid and continue on. Bad system with the managers own livelihood threatened if they do not conform. Similar at other companies, but especially egregious at MDT. What's that ? Don't be afraid to speak up ? Uh huh. Sure. Putting the patients first. With a ticked off group of employees. Tell me how that is working out ?
You are not alone. The performance review system is really just a way to trim bonuses and raises. I was told that there are quotas for each performance rating. It’s not really an individual performance rating. Managers have their favorites and with limited 4 ratings to give out, it’s really just one more way to sc--w employees. I’m not waiting for schadenfreude. I’m trying to figure out the next best move for me. I don't care about the managers or what happens to them. I only care about what is best for me. This toxic environment is not good for me.
This is all too common. Many managers lack the courage to challenge unreasonable demands, instead opting to conform without resistance. The handling of last year's year-end reviews and raises serves as a recent example. Exceptional employees were unfairly grouped with average or below-average performers due to mandates from higher-ups. Meanwhile, we witness the C-suite executives reveling in schadenfreude, congratulating themselves on their decisions.
its a sad state for sure.
PS, this is my post. As there are so many looneys in this world, by no means was this meant to be threatening. Just the realization that as the corporate wheels turn here, everyone will experience these times.
