The only game for Intel is for government to get involved. Government then needs to decide if Intel is needed for domestic chip production, are there other existing entities that can fulfill this need, or do we start from scratch. Personally, I think the US needs a clean slate. Intel's balance sheet is shot and, unfortunately , and the culture has systemic rot. One only needs to sample this site to validate

Intel can't execute rapidly on anything even in the case of hiring someone to save it. Hopefully the end result of this endeavor isn't as flawed as its other products or process technologies. The sense of urgency to execute flawlessly is gone at Intel.

It will be Stacy Smith. Now you know why they put him on the board.

@as Absolutely! First action should be to replace/realign board members. Intel will continue with the same downward spiral unless directions are changed.

Intel should replace the BoD first.

I think a magic 8 ball could be serious competition for D-mb and D-mber

They could surprise everyone and go full Hudsucker Proxy, promoting some random Green Badge to be CEO.

'You know, for kids.'

Just like 2018, do you think no one would want the job and the board will have to beg the CFO to stay on as the CEO?
