He’s the only living former Intel CEO with the know-how to turn Intel around
Starting with that WFO mandate

Yeah, that's what we need, a return to political social position letters. No, thanks!
What is he doing now?
People were gaga over from Paul Otellini onward and down to Pat Gelsinger. The damage each one inflicted on the company in the long run (or short run) can be attributed to this chain of CEOs and leadership around them.
spotted the TD engineer
The issues at Intel are due to poor strategic choices, and that starts with the Board, not some random TD engineer.
As with any company, there are a range of employees and a variety of managerial quality.
For both some are talented and some are low-IQ slackers.
Starting with Paul Otellini, the company deliberately chose to not do ARM development, as it would compete with x86.
The die was cast at that point, and if that strategy is not changed then Intel as a product company will slowly fade into history. It's a choice.
.... and he was right. The engineers here are weak and bad. TD engineers who think they are infallible and keep the company going, despite being the reason for the near-decades long mess ups on process are to blame. Bob Swan saw this forever ago and decided to go the short-term $$ route because he knew the engineering base was terrible.
I'm sure TD engineers are going to hop in here and cr-p all over this, but deep down they have to know it's true. TD (and Intel as a whole) are some of the worst engineers in the sector.
If you are an employee at Intel, Bob Swan thinks you’re an id--t. He’s an elite pr--k who used to talk sh-t about engineers and techs anytime he thought he was among only executives.
Must have been due to his embracing WFH from day 1
This doesn’t make sense. Things took a bad turn under BS who was also full of BS
