Thread regarding Amazon.com layoffs

If Amazon REALLY wanted to cut costs efficiently....

Don't do RTO. Instead, layoff (with cause) all L10-L12 staff excluding technical IC's (including Andy, S-Team). L8's already have enough knowledge to effectively run the company. Problem solved.

RTO effectively dismisses the best staff, keeps the fat (L10-L12 staff excluding technical IC's), hires low performing replacement resources at cheaper cost of labor. However, the savings from removing the L10-L12 fat will by far exceed the 'savings' from the RTO approach. AND... it would strengthen the teams and culture!!

Additionally, you can layoff low performing (i.e. not inconsistent badging!) L8 and below resources. Many DEI-over-skills hires too. URA is in the air! And sublet the useless offices including HQ1, HQ2. Convert them to apartments.
