Manager does not deliver on commitments

Has anyone else experienced this situation, where their manager didn't deliver on a promise related to performance review or compensation? How did you handle it?

What strategies have people used when dealing with managers who don't keep commitments? Any tips for staying proactive and advocating for yourself?

How can I effectively communicate my concerns about the broken promise without being confrontational or aggressive?

Now that you know where you stand, you have options: talk to the manager and or find a better place. He does not deserve to be a manager and as he does not value his best resources, his employees he will suffer in the long run. People are going to drag their feet as there is no return on investment.

@q0+1jh4js8cz I think that you are referring to CCB Digital Payments, the one who does not keep his promises is a potentially a peer to this manager, I am thinking CAMP.

There is really no point commenting about the manager in digital IT space covering payments in Dallas. He has apparently the hand of god protecting him (his business person in treasury).

Everything has been documented. Apparently, that means nothing.

they dont need to uphold anything lol. its just like if they dont like you, they can fire you for being 1 minute late and pay severance to get you out, these people dont owe you anything unless they like you or want to f you.

The organization is now run as little fiefdoms.
Each middle manager can basically do and say and s/he pleases with employees having no recourse. No way to appeal, no one is home.
If you get stuck with a dishonest or absentee landlord type manager, put up or get out.
That's all folks!
