Was there anything announced in the latest QGS / All Hands about how many layoffs total in 2024.

Wanted to know what # I am of X thousand for my 'exit statement' when finding a new gig :)

They need to layoff another 30-40k. So many WFH "engineers" who haven't stepped foot inside the fab in years, or even know how their tools operate.

About 18k…….but guess what? Wait for it…Intel is cranking up the hiring machine!. Recruiters are starting to get a bunch of reqs, approvals for hires are being rubber stamped. We have seen this a million times at Intel……hiring is the answer to all problems. This is sad for shareholders. HR needs a backbone.

It is hard to say. If you look at the numbers they report each quarter it includes both the layoffs and the new hires they did in low cost geos. They aren't broken out individually.
