Senior Managers Freaking Out

I've been working a second FTJ for 2 years already because I knew where we were headed.. saved up a couple hundred grand knowing that there is no future but that which we decide for ourselves individually....things on the health plan side have spiraled so far out of control since October, I giggle on calls where all of a sudden everyone is freaking out about metrics and all these other emergencies that are now only a thing because peeps be losing their * for fear of losing their jobs.. I don't have the heart to speak up and tell them the horrible truth..better to impart a beautiful lie that if we work hard and focus everything will be all right... omg..I can't.. I am laughing so hard right now...

@ak+1jh3651p3 the health plan side has always had metrics but the data team is run by an indian that shouldnt have the job. he plays favorites and they su-k up all the department funding to hire other indians. these teams then steal work from other people every month or two so that they can pretend to be competent. it is horrifying to watch. let me repeat that, not only is there severe systemic nepotism that is holding down the culture and the skills for the area, but it is held up by snakelike theft of work product by id--ts. as a result nobody talks or cooperates because you'll just end up in a meeting with su-kdeep. indian americans are 1.47% of the population but if you looked at his department and the hierarchy you'd think they founded the US

"... saved up a couple hundred grand..."
How you know this is BS or fantasy.

It's interesting to read the vitriol in the most recent responses to this post.. sadly, I understand that this lashing out is high emotional and from a place of deep seeded resentment by those whom want to be treated fairly and aren't - those whom seek to play by the rules and be rewarded. We do not live in that world, friends. It's time to acknowledge that you only play fair when you want to lose. Stuff off your humanity because it serves no purpose except to drag you down. You don't get compensated for caring for other co-workers or believing that any company will treat you in kind. You are paid for your time - don't fall victim to the idea you are now or ever will be anything but a number to ANY organization whose design for profitability includes thoughtless layoffs as a path to a budget balancing act for the sake of investor confidence. Hug your children tightly friends, play the game and be selfish as much as you can. When you are dead, no corporation will mourn you...they never knew who you were, or cared, to begin with. Take what's yours and never apologize for it.

I hope you working another job, didn't cost somone else their job. Politics are a part of the job description. Often enough people got severely verbally abused for not meeting deadlines.

You're giggling? You worked an additional f-t job? You're an id--t. You're not above all this just because you have no empathy for people who want to hold onto their jobs and still think blind loyalty will do the trick. There's nothing anyone can do, but I feel for the people losing their jobs. If that's me, I already know there's no job security any longer. You don't have the heart. True words.

The Health plan side? What metrics? They have metrics now? If there are issues it's because of what drives the whole thing. People need to look outside of their bubbles before panicking.

Since October? What year? For me it started October 2022 with Jennifer Daughtery-Gallagher nonsense.

I can relate big time.. funny how many negatives this post has accumulated..probably rank and file whom mistakenly and blindly trusted a company to make smart decisions on their behalf to keep their kids fed.. sadly, no one matters who isn't pulling down millions per year..
