So we now let in people who have been WFR’d back into the building months after they’ve been let go. That’s genius. Thanks Dell for cutting security and making everyone feel super safe.

what are you scares of?
You need a badge to get in the side doors, but people piggyback. 176 is a free for all and the security people they employ don't look like they've seen a green leafy vegetable in a long time. It's a time bo-b.
You don't have access controls on your site? We've building security, card controlled elevators, and card controlled doors to the office spaces.
they want us to all be responsible for security. If someone piggybacks into the building, we are supposed to ask them to see their badge. That's cr-p. You don't pay me enough to do my job, let alone be your security guard too. If you're that concerned, put guards at each door every morning when piggybacking is at it's peak. Granted, there isn't as much since you need to badge in to get credit for the day, but I do still see it. People do forget their badges at times.
Security was removed from most of the entrances in "HOP". I think the main entrance is the only entrance that has security anymore. Classic Dell negligence. Given the tens of thousands of people who's financial security was crushed by Dell in less than a year, it's just a matter of time until something crazy happens. Criminal negligence.

They need an active company badge to get into the building.
"just because you were WFRd does not mean you are banned for life."
yes but you do know you can meet anywhere OFF CAMPUS, right?
why would there be a need to meet on campus in the first place.
Are you the same breed who drives by the exes house to check up on them??
Just because you were WFRd does not mean you are banned for life.. plenty of people still have friends, even family working at Dell. As long as the proper checking procedures are followed and a visitor badge is assigned, then it should not be a concern. I don't disagree there is always potential for a security risk, just pointing out that it's not unusual for a former employee to still visit the campus.
This was a part of why I chose to be remote. The lack of security is terrifying with the amount of layoffs and employee unrest!
Security? That costs money. Dell has left no penny un turned.
PS: stay away from the food and water in the buildings
5-6 yrs ago, in Texas cyber walked a contractor out the door.
2 months later they hired him back full time as an employee
lol
why?
That's not happening in HOP. What site is this occurring in?
What happened??? That’s very concerning
