Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Lagging behind in AI may turn out to be not a bad thing

When the AI bubble collapses, apparently very soon, that won't involve Intel.
It resembles aspects of a ponzi scheme, particularly in the case of the lead company involved.

I came across this post the other day, at @an+1wfM2qta. It may very well turn out to be a good thing that we are lagging behind, reinforced by the fact that customers do not really like integrated AI.

AI isn’t much of a threat when nobody up the food chain can describe your job in complete sentences

AI may be oversold in the short term but it is not a passing fad. Trying to justify missing a huge industry shift is pathetic. Intel blew it once again. Get used to it.

Everything seems to be a fad to the mo--ns in charge, just like apps on cell phone. Jim Evers, former Ocotillo FM and now at the Ohio factory, once said, "who wants to use apps on a cell phone anyway?".

Google’s 2024 total capex spending was $51.4 billion, up 59% from last year

Also

estimates that next year Meta reach $53.4 billion in CapEx, up 38% from 2024's projected total

Good thing Intel is sitting this out.
What a great move!

Microsoft expects to spend $80 billion in fiscal 2025 on the construction of data centers that can handle artificial intelligence workloads

Let’s just wait for this fad to blow over…

It's the truth, when you are at book value, you really can't drop much further.

Reminds me of North Korea , a leader there was informed the economy was crashing, he replied that it was when you are 0, you can't possibly crash further.

LMAO. Copium at an unbelievable level.

It's like saying, we are glad we still ride horses because that's how we will avoid car crashes.

Just how much stupid can this get is beyond measure.

When one bubble burst and more will form, can Intel catch the next bubble earlier and faster than the competitions?
