Current UAW contract of a disaster. The big 3 can't compete with that hanging over there heads.

Lay them all off, break the union, and get a fair labor deal paying unskilled labor exactly what it's worth.

The Big 3 will be bankrupt on the next 2-3 years.

Yes, the economy is not doing great, the job number revisions showed we lost jobs for several months, even when Health Care (obamacare) and government were the ones hiring the most (goverment induced payroll inflation), the GDP numbers may be lying too, like the inflation ones. Who knows? I know only one thing... starting in 2 weeks, the press will blame Trump for all this mess.

Now, if Trump and DOGE do what they promise, we will see indeed higher unemployment. All those cushy government jobs are going away, and I have to agree with the cuts, since the government is spending twice (200%) the money collected through taxation.
