Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Bonus

I think Ron should split his entire bonus one year to all of the company employees. Maybe they will try and force us to get another shot. Don’t do it! More work less pay and no reinforcements on the way but hey kids out of school with no knowledge get paid more then the old timers. Let’s get a union like the other person suggested.

Snapshots are meaningless. No raises for any of my employees this year. Profits were plentiful. What a joke.

Easy the Senior mgmt will get the biggest bonuses.
The more they can save the company money by outsourcing and bringing in H1B workers
The more they will get rewarded.

Attended a meeting where senior management discussed compensation. They explained how well the company did financially and how compensation would be rewarded as a result ...explaining how it is also dependent on your division, group and team and how all those did.

Thinking great! I'm getting a decent increase because all those areas including down to my team has been a banner year. Talk to my direct manager and was told wait it isn't going to be that great...the good news it won't be less.

So who is getting this big increase as company, division, group and team had a stellar year but we argue below executives are getting potential just Luke warm increases at best.

The only reason they want you in the office is to train your replacement.

Pro tip for anyone new in the company; Most positions are only temporary (less than 4 years). Spend at least 50% of your work day looking for another job lined up.

While you are working on initiatives where you annually bring in or save the company millions, the execs are doing everything they can to replace you with offshore workers or H1B workers. Any revenue or savings is a bonus for them. But don't get me wrong, I still appreciate their thoughtfulness of leaving their stale leftover pizza slices for us peasants to find in the common areas.

I left here a few years ago. Now get 20-30k yearly bonuses when at state I’d be happy with 5. Leave my friends. Start a beautiful life elsewhere

Hey the CEO and other Senior mgmt have been suffering too.

Having to give up French champagne and buying domestic champagne.
Giving up caviar , pheasant and other food delicacies.

Having to downsize from their beautiful 12 room houses to tiny 7 room houses.
Cutting back of their housing staff from 8 to just 4 servants

The company has been laying off workers and brining in H1b workers for the last 20 years.
The U.S worker has become the minority at State Street .

That's crazy talk. How will Big Ron keep up with his lavish lifstyle, if he redistribute his bonus to employees? CEOs get impacted with inflation too. Although onshore workers are more than capable of doing their jobs, Ron is forcing us to quit and replace us with H1B workers or offshore our work. The guy needs to yacht.

If no one stand up now all the jobs will be in India sooner than they plan. I agree Union now or unemployment later.
